School Council

Our School Council provides an opportunity for all pupils to be involved in making decisions regarding school life. At the start of the academic year, each KS1 class elects two school council representatives.  Take a look at the board in the school hall to find out who this year's School Council Representatives are.

The School Council meets with Mrs Holmes approximately every three weeks to discuss issues and ideas relating to the school.  Questions and ideas are then taken back to class by the School Council representatives for further discussion.  This ensures that every child's voice is heard.

Recent School Council projects have included:

  • Deciding on BLP (Building Learning Power) mascots for the school;
  • Creating our Sensory Garden;
  • Raising money for Children In Need;
  • Developing our "Say No To Bullying" campaign.

"Teaching is good. This is having a very positive impact on pupils' increasingly successful learning.... Pupils feel safe because they know they are well cared for. They behave well and have good attitudes to learning."
