Icknield Infant & Nursery School is a friendly and welcoming community school for children aged
3 to 7. The school is situated on extensive grounds which are well used to enhance children’s learning.
Icknield Children’s Centre is situated in a separate building on our school site.
We have 9 classrooms and an attached nursery full of up to date resources all used to make learning fun.
Our grounds provide many different environments for our children, including a Forest School area where children can explore and participate in discovery learning and an allotment area where the children plant seeds each Spring. Additionally, there are two playground areas with climbing equipment, imaginative play areas, story circles and seating. We also have a fabulous big red Library Bus in the school grounds that classes use as a inspirational and unusual reading area.
The school building is very well maintained and has been extensively refurbished and extended to include a computer suite/library, additional classrooms and office area. All classrooms have access to an outside learning space and all reception classes have covered areas.
Our school is very well staffed with a professional, dedicated and friendly team who are committed to supporting the next stage of every child’s learning.
