School Council

Icknield's School Council is made up of two children from each class in Key Stage One and the School Council Reps are chosen by their classmates in class elections which occur termly. The children who want to be put forward to be a School Council Rep explain to their class why they think they would be a good representative. Examples have included that they are confident sharing their ideas to others, they have good listening skills, they take turns and they follow our school golden values.

Mrs Cooper meets with the School Council Reps weekly and enjoys listening to their views on different subjects which the Reps then feedback to their class after the meeting. Mrs Cooper was extremely grateful to the current Spring Term Reps for all of their help with the school book sale as they helped to sell some of our surpass books and raise money for charity. Recently they have also helped to come up with ideas for World Book Day and Red Nose Day and have shared their thoughts on potential extra curricular clubs. Mrs Cooper is very proud of the contributions that they are making to the school, as well as the support she had from the Autumn Term School Council Reps too. Watch this space to see who will be elected after Easter as our Summer Term Reps!
