Icknield's School Council is made up of two children from each class in Key Stage One and the School Council Reps are chosen by their classmates in class elections which occur termly. The children who want to be put forward to be a School Council Rep explain to their class why they think they would be a good representative. Examples have included that they are confident sharing their ideas to others, they have good listening skills, they take turns and they follow our school golden values. 

Mrs Collins meets with the School Council Reps regularly and enjoys listening to their views on different subjects which the Reps then feedback to their class after the meeting.

School Council have helped to plan our World Book Day and Red Nose Day, as well as helping to choose the new school clubs. They have also played a key role in interviewing prospective staff members and walking around prospective parents.
